The Short Version
A Decked Out Pet, Inc. is a small grooming salon on Douglas Avenue in North Providence, Rhode Island. Appointments are booked one at a time, which means your dog or cat is the only animal here for the length of their visit.
Why one at a time
Most salons run several groomers and a bank of kennels. A pet gets bathed, then waits in a crate until someone is free to finish them. That is how a two-hour groom becomes a six-hour day.
Here there is no waiting, because there is nobody to wait behind. Your pet arrives, is groomed start to finish, and goes home. For seniors, for anxious dogs, and for almost every cat, that difference is the whole point.
Thirty years of coats
Over three decades I have groomed just about every coat type, temperament and age there is: wire coats, double coats, doodle coats that mat if you look at them wrong, elderly dogs who cannot stand for long, and pets who arrive already frightened.
A Decked Out Pet has been voted one of the top three groomers in Rhode Island by Rhode Island Monthly, and is among the top-rated groomers in town on Google.
